Hong Du-Sik went through many things in his life, and despite being the most sociable on the island, he was also the most lonely.

He saw things differently, he worked hard asking for the least or nothing, he knew everything about everyone, but others knew nothing about him.

His daily life was the same; he worked hard to avoid thinking about what had happened, about the people he had lost. He was calm and funny, a balanced person.

Until one day, Hong Du-Sik momentarily lost that balance.

He didn't believe in love at first sight, too fantastical for this cruel reality, but then he saw her.

He had to rub his eyes to see if he was seeing correctly; he saw her from afar, a noticeable glimmer in the distance. He wanted to get closer, since he was Chief Hong, and should meet the new ones, he told himself.

He took a step forward, then looked at himself. He had just finished a painting job, and his clothes were messy and stained. He nervously ran his hand through his hair and, hesitantly, began to walk towards her, under the pretext that he was going to see the work of those who were around him.

"What am I doing?..."

He murmured to himself, trying to act calm, though without looking at her, until his pupils dilated at the sight of her.
