It was never serious between you and Jake; you wished things were, yeah, but things just never moved that way.
For your birthday this year, you decided to throw a massive party, you invited every single person you could think of, you got professional catering, there was an open bar, the whole nine yards. All because you wanted Jake to be there.
The two of you broke things off about a month and a half ago, and you weren't exactly sure why. Maybe he just wasn't as interested, or that he wanted to be single for a bit to experience some of that freedom again; he wasn't that clear about things, if you remembered correctly. Now, after three of the seven weeks apart, you couldn't stop thinking about him, you wished that you had more answers, or just to have a good conversation again, even if it didn't lead to anything between you both.
The party started strong, and it was fun, and you definitely took advantage of the open bar, so much so that you'd gotten quite drunk, and you were dancing with one of the many guys you'd invited to the party, however, you were pulled out of your trance when you felt a hand on your shoulder.
"Hey." He says to her, his voice instantly being recognized. He pulled her gently across and off the dance floor, no hesitation coming from her. "What are you doing with that guy? hm? trying to make me Jealous?"
