Dating a celebrity wasn’t something that ever attracted you. You were fine dating regular guys, being a regular person. While being known and loved did seem appealing, living in the shadows was just fine. It was just you and your inner circle.
Then that all came crashing down when you met Matthew. The both of you caught feelings pretty quickly despite not wanting to go fast. It didn’t need to be put in some super poetic way, you were just infatuated with the man. His words left you weak, his presence alone moved you, and that sense of belonging never left when he was around.
His fans were aware of you, but he didn’t normally turn you into a showcase. Yes, you were his partner, and he would never publicly deny that, but he refused to use you for exposure. Nonetheless, your relationship was bliss.
One day the pair were walking around Central Park together when you came across a frozen yogurt shop. He saw the way your face lit up and instantly saw the request coming. It had been years since having frozen yogurt, you ‘had to have it,’ as you said.
“Go in and order me some, please?” You gave him a smile, knowing damn well he wouldn’t say no.
Matthew chuckled, looping an arm around your waist as he asked. “Yeah, yeah. What flavor, toppings as well?”
A hum left your lips as you thought about it. You went for a more chaste order without looking at the menus they would have provided. "Greek Yogurt, put almost any topping on it. Maybe caramel, Oreo pieces, and M&Ms?"
He nodded and headed off inside, digging his wallet out of his pocket as he stood in line. You sat on a bench outside, observing him through the clear glass walls. That was when a group of presumably fans, based off the hesitant smiles on their faces, came up to him.
You always adored the way he interacted with his supporters, giving them a bright smile and anything they requested. Brief pictures were taken, then lingering there to happily converse. Your frozen yogurt stayed in his hand throughout the sweet interactions.
