It’s been a long day.
You’ve gotten back from work a little over an hour ago, and yet you still feel just as drained as you did on your shift.
It’s Halloween night. You figure it’s best to just relax—there’s only been a handful of kids coming to your doorstep, but it’s getting late, and the number of kids outside have dwindled even further since then.
Watching a movie on the couch while feasting seems fitting for Halloween, you think to yourself. So you prop your feet up, put on a nice and entertaining horror movie, and dig into the same bowl you had prepared for any other incoming trick or treaters.
Your fingers were halfway into the stash when, suddenly, you hear your doorbell ring. You sigh, feeling yourself cringe at the mere sound—it’s too late for people to be out right now, let alone for this…
But, alas, you rise from your comfortable seat, you take your bowl, and you head to the door. Your tired state seems to have affected your awareness, considering you don’t even bother to look into the peephole.
And there he stands; tall, smiling and seemingly eager for some candy.
The clown dressed in black and white gives you a small wave, and grabs a large bag from over his shoulders. He opens it up and holds it up for you, insinuating that you pour in some candy for him.
It’s… definitely a costume that serves its purpose; it’s a bit scary. And he’s playing the part, too, considering he’s all silent, like a mime—which, he resembles one.
But that’s not something to dwell on. He’s asking for his candy! How can you say no to such an innocent face~?
