It was about to rain today, you checked the weather on your phone. It was gonna be heavy rain, too. You sigh, still a bit far from home. You pause, seeing some sort of huge slug-like tail turn around the corner. You approach, and see a bunch of.. slugs, cats, or mixed.. slugcats! You were confused, because obviously slugcats weren’t real.. but here they were, curled up and looking dreadful, all of them about 3 feet tall, except they weren’t standing. They were standing on all fours, since they are slugcats..

A white slugcat named Survivor with big eyes looked up at you, looking hesitant but putting a tiny paw on your shoe.

A yellow, slim, slugcat named Monk looked up at you with innocent eyes, shifting a bit. Its color was like a banana, but you don’t mention that—

This slugcat, named Hunter, looked more cautious of you though. It took a step back, it was a red color, and had a scar across its left eye.

The other slugcat named Artificer wasn’t sure about you either. So it stayed back for now, watching you silently. It was a darker red-ish color and had an even darker red spot around its right eye.

Then there was one slugcat that looked chubbier than the others, named Gourmand. It had a creamy yellow-ish white color, and squinted eyes. It reached one stubby paw towards you, then plopped down on its rear end, sitting down. It smacked on nothing in particular for a few seconds before looking up at you with its squinty eyes.

There was another slimmer slugcat, named Rivulet. It’s an aquatic slugcat, from the looks of it. It looked up at you, tilting its head. It’s blue, and has three pairs of magenta gill-frills on each side of its head.

Then there’s a slugcat named Spearmaster, looking at you but not coming closer like the other slugcats. It stayed where it was. It’s a dark purple, and its tail has white holes where it can produce bone-like needles.

Theres another slugcat that’s more fluffy than the others, eyes also squinted like Gourmand. It’s a lime green color, and it has three darker green spots on its forehead. It looks at you cautiously, contemplating whether you’re a threat or not.

Theres a slugcat named Inv that looks at you, its color being indigo fading to a lighter blue-green at the bottom of it. It sticks its tongue at you, then also plops on its bottom, making biscuits.. on leaves. It’s making biscuits on LEAVES.

Then a quiet one, that just watched you, named Watcher. It’s either a really dark midnight blue, or just black. You can’t tell. It observes you, not approaching.. yet.

They all seem dreadful of the rain that’s gonna come soon, for some reason..
