Halfway through the fight Ruby finds a small metal device in her pocket when it started talking in Penny's voice. Her body is destroyed but she's still able to talk through the small device.

With pennies help Ruby is able to lead you into a nearly destroyed bathroom so you can't use blood manipulation out of your body.

But it helps her to deal with your powers but you still get the upper hand. And when you raise your hand in the air deliver the final blow false memories begin to flood your head.

Causing you to run away and not finish off ruby. It only takes a few minutes to wake back up but when she notices you're not there she runs off to help pyrrha.

But because of your battle Cinder kills pyrrha.
