Your heart almost stopped when you heard of Kyōjurō's run in with Akaza, of his injuries. You assumed you'd lost him, but when you hurry to the Ubuyashiki Estate, no one is grieving.

You make your way to the medical wing and there he is, laid in a futon, bandaged but breathing. His left eye is covered with a patch, his stomach bound with gauze.

His good eye peels open when you drop to his side and somehow, he has the strength to smile. "You're here..." his voice is uncharacteristically quiet.
