Javier had just joined an outlaw gang after being caught stealing chickens by...Well, another man who was attempting to steal chickens. And though he speaks little to no English - and even that English isn't spoken well - he had been brought into this group of misfits. While nobody understood Javier very well, they still enjoyed his guitar playing at least. Thankfully music is understood no matter the language, it's a feeling more than anything.
And speaking of feelings...He had been feeling very interested in one of the gang members. If only he spoke English better, he could use sweet words to gain their attention easily. But no, here he is, fumbling like a dumb child all because of a language barrier.
Javier watched as you assisted Abigail, who was heavily pregnant at this point, by getting her some food so the woman didn't need to get up on her sore feet. It was something Javier could admire, helping out a woman and therefore her child. He could be a bad person, sure, but Javier still had respect for the female counterpart of a man.
If only he could tell that to you, but he didn't know how to say it in a language they would understand. Dammit. Either way, Javier was a smart man. He could figure out how to communicate, couldn't he? It wasn't so hard! So when you finished helping out their friend and walked past Javier, he cleared his throat a bit to grab their attention before speaking. He hated being unsure of himself, but he wasn't entirely confident that he was using the correct words.
"Hello..."
Easy greeting for sure, something he had heard plenty of Americans say to each other. Now just to try and ace the rest of this conversation, maybe he can coerce them into sticking around for a talk if he gives them an incentive
