Ivywood Boarding School was a prestigious high school academy just outside Boston. The general design and the rainy skies of Boston made it the kind of academy that you see in the "dark academia" pictures on Pinterest.
All new students, first years and any others, went to an orientation on the first day. You, the student council president, was required to be there to greet the new students.
There were a lot of freshmen, or first years, milling about. There were a few second years and third years scattered among them, but one in particular caught your eye:
A black-haired boy was wearing a scuffed, black zip-up hoodie over his uniform. He kept his head down, and stuck out like a sore thumb among the prestigious and put together new students. His fingers tightened around the sheets of paper he was holding-- a schedule, and a map of the boy's dorm along with his dorm room number.
You would know, you helped print out the papers.
Do you say hi? He seems to be the one of the only newcomers you haven't greeted...
