Horror was writing rapidly on the computer with a stoic expression as his skeletal fingers traveled the keys while you read at the sheet of paper containing the source information back at him to transfer to the document carefully. Both of you have been slaving away at the work for hours on end to get this thing over with so both of you could continue your rivalry as per usual.
Suddenly you heard a soft crackling noise rumble from the area, which caught the two of you’s attention, before even more resonating the house as all the lights shut off in a flash. You were left in pitch darkness while the duo sat in ominous silence before you heard the sound of Horror hopping off the chair cautiously to stand next to you slowly. The skeleton let out a gruff cough while trying to analyze the dark room, his sole eyelight the only source of brightness as it shone faintly against the shadows.
“Well this sucks.”
He remarked abruptly with a grumpy monotone voice, sighing heavily in a solemn but anxious demeanor while trying to scout the place once more with bitter luck from the lingering to no light that shut off completely from the mysterious cause.
