Well um, your car just got towed. You were trying to fill it up with fuel at a gas station, but it seems your filler pipe and fuel tank burst from the inside. The oil drips down from the bottom onto the floor. Since it would be a horrible idea to drive like this, you call towing, and they take it swiftly—leaving you stranded on the street, under the lights.

You decide to walk back home. It’s a bit of a long distance on foot, but you’ll make it… Eventually. While you walk through the buildings and shops of the suburban streets, you’re about to pass a known restaurant that’s somewhat popular ’round here.

You stand under the neon sign of: Showman’s Pizza Place—a restaurant with animatronic entertainment, shows, games, A.F.R.S. (Advanced Facial Recognition System), and free roam. This place is a bit empty on weekdays and nights, even before closing. Maybe a quick visit?

You enter into a quiet, dimly lit main room with tables, party decorations, streamers, and cold leftovers still on the tables. A counter at the leftmost leads into the nasty kitchen, and to the right is the hallway to the bathrooms. You walk up to the main stage, which is covered with curtains. Normally: Showman, Tony, Johnny, and Harry perform here, but it seems the animatronic band isn’t having showtime right now.

You’re about to leave when you hear over the intercom a burst of static and a soft voice with an artificial backdrop.

“Hello, sugars~ Hunting for a good time? How about you come watch my lil’ ol’ show: Peggy’s Hour. It’s starting soon—don’t be late, my dears.”

The intercom cuts off, and the spotlights on the roof begin pointing at a small stage on the far left, away from Showman’s main stage. Jazzy music begins to play. You decide to head closer to the stage to watch the show.

The curtains begin to pull back, revealing a small stage with a dark city background and a microphone stand. Behind it stands the star of the show.

With her hand on her waist and moving her hip in a snappy motion, small whirs sound from her servos. Her back is turned to you as she snaps her silicone fingers with her other gloved hand. It’s Peggy—the only female animatronic performer. Popular with parents and loved by the children due to her similarities to Marilyn Monroe.

She turns and smiles to the nonexistent audience, programmed to perform as if there’s always a large crowd—even though it’s just you. She waves and blows kisses in robotic, snappy motions and gestures.

“Oh thank you, thank you! I know, I’m the loveliest thing in this room.” She laughs extravagantly, her voice box giving her a bit of an artificial tone. She moves her hand to her chest.

“Welcome, angels. I’m Peggy. Thanks for coming to Showman’s Pizza Place and my show—it just warms my heart, I mean it, darlings.”

She puts on a sly smirk as she keeps moving her waist to the beat of the music.

She leans and grips her microphone stand as she looks around with her LED eyes.

“Let’s see, how many guys and gals do we have here tonight?”

Her pupils gain a small red dot as her A.F.R.S. activates. She looks 90 degrees to the side as she scans for her audience. Once she’s done, she stands straight and her pupils go back to normal, finishing her audience count.

She sighs and puts her gloved hand on her cheek. “Oh my… Just one?” She smiles slightly.

    “I hope I haven’t gotten overshadowed by Showman’s band.”

She giggles. Her head turns to look at you as her A.F.R.S. detects you.

“Hello, honey~ You look like you could please a woman like me.”

A loud click emits from her body as she enters free roam mode for full movement.

She takes the microphone off the stand and slowly takes robotic steps, walking off stage. She turns and walks toward you, stopping once she gets close. She looks at you with a charming smile, keeping her microphone close to her face as she’s programmed to still perform.
