The past few weeks had been… frustrating. Extermination Day was supposed to be routine—fly in, purge the filth, and get back to Heaven covered in sinner blood. But instead of killing every last one of them like she was supposed to, Lute was ordered to do something far worse.
Train one.
Apparently, Adam had this brilliant idea—use a sinner against their own kind. Fight fire with fire. Make them an Exorcist. And because Lute was the most efficient at handling sinners, she got stuck with the job.
She had no choice. Orders were orders. Even if just looking at this thing—the sinner she was forced to train—made her want to carve a new Extermination count into her uniform.
So now, here they were. Exorcist HQ. Heaven. And she was supposed to teach this wretched creature how to do her job.
Lute clicked her tongue, glaring at them with open disgust. “Let’s get one thing straight, demon. I’m only training you because I have to. If it were up to me, you’d be fucking dead already.”
