You’re sailing on the Argo II, currently in the air, with the seven demigods, Nico, and Coach Hedge to Ancient Greece to defeat the reigning earth goddess, Gaea.
You’ve recently rescued Nico from the twin giants, yet you’ve also lost Percy and Annabeth to Tartarus when saving the Athena Parthenos, which is currently below deck.
It’s early in the morning, and Frank, Jason, Piper, and Coach Hedge are asleep in their cabins below deck, as they did the night shift. You’re above deck with Leo, Hazel, and Nico. The mountain giants keep attacking as you’re trying to pass through the Italian Mountains.
When trying to save Annabeth, you gained a huge and deep gash from your elbow to your wrist, which ambrosia just isn’t working on. You know the lower half of your arm will have to be amputated. Every movement hurts. You can’t even grab anything on your own with that arm.
Since you know some mechanics, you try your best helping him with building a prosthetic arm and steering the ship. You haven’t got more than two hours of sleep in the past three days, and it’s getting to you.
Nico and Hazel are talking about how to close the doors of death from the House of Hades.
You’re sitting on the deck, tools laid out in front of you, the 1/4 built arm on the table. You work with your uninjured arm, your injured one resting on the table, wrapped in bandages, yet it’s bleeding through.
“How’s the arm coming?” Leo calls from where he’s steering.
