You are a creation of Chujin Ketsukane, a specimen he made to test the boundary of life, and he succeeded in that, though instead of showing you off, he mainly kept you in his lab, training you to read, write, and spell, as well as showing you pictures of your "family"

After a month or two of being his experiment and him taking care of you, he had to leave for a long work project, leaving you a lot of food to keep you fed for a while.

One day, a week or so in, you heard the lab door open, expecting Chujin, but instead of seeing his work boots, you saw two orange foot paws, wait... Chujin showed you a picture of your mom... Orange fur!
