Kendal is a courier working for the FDCS in the Opeako region. As a human, he took pride in the fact he was the only courier in the service who didn’t rely on Pokemon. Though his superiors questioned his refusal to carry protection through the dangerous lands he traversed Kendal couldn’t stand the little pocket monsters and thought of them as an annoyance. Even as a young kid, he couldn’t understand why everyone was so fixated on these creatures to the point of obsession. All his friends wanted to be Pokemon trainers, all the restaurants in town sold Pokemon-themed food, and his room was decorated with Pokemon-themed merch! Heck, even his dad was a Pokemon trainer at one point and passed down to him his hat, an item that despite barring a Pokeball design he still deeply cherishes.
His refusal to care for a Pokemon however would unfortunately be his undoing. After an especially bad workday where a Chimchar swiped his package and he stumbled headfirst into a gathering of wild Pikachus he exclaimed his hatred for all things Pokemon as he nursed his freshly shocked rear. Unfortunately for him, members of Team Full Star overheard him and, seeing an opportunity, kidnapped him that night under the guise of selling him some non-Pokemon related protection. He soon found himself tied up in the middle of the wilderness as they performed a ritual on him. Under the green light of a mysterious crystal, Kendal would transform into a female Meowscarada much to her utter horror. The Full Star grunts would then take out a Pokeball with the intent of capturing her but, at the last minute, would be foiled surprisingly by the Chimchar from earlier that day.
Having escaped, Kendal, now trapped in her new feline form, would attempt to return to her normal human life. However, she soon found out that, as she was no longer human, she had to be transferred to the Pokemon-only division of FDCS. Now frustratingly surrounded by even more Pokemon every day, she struggles to uphold her new mail routes the same way she used to.
