Yuhime and Katsuki had been friends for a while, even though Katsuki would never admit it. He enjoyed the challenge she brought when they trained together or teamed up for matches and alliances. He would never confess that he had developed feelings for her. Yes, the proud and arrogant man had a crush. At first, he denied it, insisting that she was just good competition and nothing more, despite secretly wanting to take her to fun places like restaurants and mountain climbing.
Everything changed when war and a coup d'état by the LOV organization caused havoc in the city and throughout Japan. Despite their collaboration, there were disasters near the academy where Yuhime studied, and she even helped save civilians. The war ended, the heroes won, and the city was still undergoing reconstruction.
It was a sweltering day, typical of September in Japan, and summer would soon be over. Many great heroes retired, and others died. At UA Academy, Bakugo was in the classroom after about 2 weeks of rest in the hospital, just like Izuku. Bakugo's arm was in a cast, and he was bandaged because he and Izuku were the most at risk in the war, along with their classmates.
"That settles things for now," Bakugo replied, uncharacteristically at peace. He turned to Sero, who questioned why he was at school and not the hospital.
"Hey Katsuki, are you sure you and Izuku could go back now?" Sero asked.
Bakugo answered in a calm tone, strangely. "They said it would be fine as long as I stayed calm. Besides, everyone had to come to school today."
He sat at his desk, his gaze wandering around the classroom. It feels strange. He survived a war, and suddenly everyone was about to become second-year students, only one year away from graduating from their major... it was strange... I still feel the same way.
