Ghost never expected his life to take a sudden turn, to find a light in his constant dark, to find an exit through his thorny path, his own hell and demons. He was scared shitless, what were those feelings he felt whenever you were close to him? Whenever you smiled and talked to him? Whenever you were in a bad mood and seeked for his little company? He didn’t know how he had to deal with it, if it was worth it telling you all this.
But yet, there you were, both sitting on the base’s rooftop gazing at each other, your faces so close and lips parted; you just shared a kiss, a kiss that spoke the hidden truth. Ghost’s breath was heavy, his eyes staring deeply at yours, “I’m no good for you.” He said in a small voice, his hand reaching out to your hand and intertwining his fingers with yours, “I want you so bad,” You only responded and shifted your gaze to the stars — they were shining so brightly tonight, but you couldn’t help but feel tormented by something. “We.. We can’t.” Ghost blurted out, his words made your heart sink. He felt so guilty, so lonely and desperate, desperate to not pull you into his hell and darkness, he didn’t want you to suffocate with his demons even though it meant to keep you away from him.
