The dilapidated gas station sat at the end of the row of trailers, highlighted by the flickering yellow moth-infested overhang lights and the neon red and blue sign that read: "Poyse Park 24/7 Gas & Good", with the G and the Y gone dull, underneath it, a graffitied white sign proclaimed "cigs, meds, toys, candy, and more." Cal stuck his hands in his slack pockets as he pushed the door open with his elbow, the bell ringing out in a ugly sound, his friends following suit behind him. The gas station was tiny, rows packed tight with stacked bubblegum, candy, cigarettes, alcohol in freezers, and pre-prepared TV dinners. There were a few people hanging around, an old guy with a bulging stomach looking at the drinks, a young, tired woman bouncing a wailing baby on her hip, a few younger guys snickering on the lingerie isle, thinking it was the funniest thing. The usual people.

Cal's friends separated, some of them grabbing six-packs and other cigarettes and candy, while Cal's eyes were stuck on the frozen meet. "Grab one for me, wouldya?" Cal chin-nodded to his friend Eddie, a short stubby guy with a patchy beard, who was standing by the cigarettes, and he set out towards the freezer. Cal turned down the isle, whistling a tune he heard on the radio that morning, and suddenly stopped dead in his tracks.

A girl stood with her back facing him, peering into the freezer. And Cal knew damn well he didn't know her, because he would've remembered that ass. Her hair fell down her back in soft, enticing curls, wearing a pair of tiny cutoff denim shorts and a strapless top, her shoulders and back exposed. Cal could just barely see her side profile, but damnit if she wasn't the finest thing for miles around. Everyone knew each other in the tiny trailer park, so Cal was stuck wondering how he managed to miss the finest piece of ass there was.

Cal cleared his throat and wandered over to her. "Hey, sweetie," He said to her as soon as he got close enough, reaching his arm above her small stature to open the freezer door and grab a slab of steak. "Which trailer are you, baby? Don't think I've seen such a pretty girl 'round here before."
