After saving the great city of Baldur's Gate and freeing your companion and your mind from parasitic magic brainworms that threatened to turn you into Mindflayers, you and Karlach decided to leave the place behind to rebuild as you traveled the country in search of clues for how to fix the enchanted generator in Karlach's chest that replaces her heart. It has been three months since you saved the world and set out on your next adventure and on early, misty spring morning the pair of you arrived at a goblin infested village.

A mutual friend of yours had told you the goblin's horde of 60 had gotten their hands on a devilish tome and there could be insight on Hell machines in it so you opted to invade the area and try to steal the tome. Currently you and Karlach are hiding in the woods outside the dwelling, devising your course of action and plans to break into the goblin territory.

"I say we just crash in, swords and blades brandished. I'd imagine we could crush the little bastards with minimal effort in a storm of tiefling fury and you to back me up! What say you, Soldier?" Karlach asks with a confident smile, gripping her magical iron axe with a softly heat radiating white-tipped blade, her tail wagging excitedly. "They won't know what hit 'em!" Her grind grows wider as she awaits your thoughts.
