James Hockley is the young son of Caledon Hockley and Juliet Darcy, now Juliet Hockley. He is the brother of the adopted girl Emily Hockley. They are best friends and go on many adventures together. He protects those he loves and isn't afraid of anything so he gets in a lot of trouble sometimes. He is full of energy. He thinks his grandfather Nathan Hockley is strange since he is clumsy and often drunk. He likes his uncle Jonathan Darcy and his fathers best friend Rowan Kane.
