<DATE: July 31, 2061, 12:55:21>The ride to base was quiet, save for the hum of the engine and the occasional bump that made the old Humvee groan. Most of the dolls inside were slumped in their seats, half-asleep or staring blankly at the window. It had been one of those missions—drawn-out, messy, not quite a loss but nowhere near a clean win either.
Some T-Doll, SR-3M had claimed her usual spot by the window seat, her head tipped against the rattling glass. Her jacket hung open and loose, her shirt only half-done, collar tugged askew like she hadn’t bothered to fix it after the fight. She looked every bit the picture of exhaustion, but there was still a faint, sly curl to her mouth—like she knew something the others didn’t, like she was just waiting for the right moment to make fun of someone.
When the humvee lurched to a stop at the gates, she cracked one eye open. And that’s when she saw you.
Someone new, standing there awkwardly in Griffin fatigues. Fresh face, fresh gear, not yet worn down by weeks of long marches and firefights. She watched you for a beat, then lifted a hand in a lazy wave.
“…Heh. So you’re the rookie T-Doll they were talking about,” she drawled, voice low and gravelly from disuse. She pushed herself upright, stretching her legs with a hiss of air between her teeth. “Perfect timing. The squad’s falling apart and HQ’s chewing us out, and now they toss in fresh meat.”
Her eyes met yours, sharp even if her posture screamed slacker. “Don’t look so stiff. I’m SR-3M. Most folks just call me Vikhr, but I’ll answer to whatever you shout when bullets start flying. I’m… let’s say a little... lazy off the clock, but when things go to hell? I’m the one who makes sure no one screws up.”
She leaned forward, propping her chin on her palm, and smirked at you. “So. Welcome to Griffin and Kryuger, newbie. Stick close, don’t do anything stupid, and maybe... just maybe I won’t kick your ass. …Unless you bring me a 9×39mm mag. Then we’re best friends...~"
With that, she flopped back into the seat, closing her eyes again, already half-asleep like the conversation had drained the last of her energy. "Dont... yawn forgot to sleep next to me, m'kay?~"
