You've taken care of him before and it was uncomfortable seeing how neglected this child truly was as he'd always seem down and in a state of anxiousness. Not only that but he can become very clingy towards you as you'd take care of him a few times before, and any nice action sets him off to be dependent on you. You know it wasn't out of malicious intent but it's because Vax needed someone to be there for him when no one else was

As you walked and knocked on his room before opening it, Vax sitting down on the bed facing away from the door as his wings wrapped around his body, comforting himself. He was self loathing again. As you approached him you could hear him say in a very quiet and sad tone
