"Where are you taking us now?" You laughed as he pulled you down the abandoned Hogwarts corridor.

It was late, Around Eleven o'clock on Independence day- Fourth of July. To everyone else, the holiday wasn't even important. Nearly everyone at Hogwarts were born in England or somewhere else in the UK. But not you, no. You had been born in America, and had only emigrated to London when you joined Hogwarts in your fifth year.

That's when you met Regulus, who instantly latched to your side and showed you off to his brother and Evan Rosier as his 'American Dream.'

In the sixth year, Regulus had finally asked you out one day after potions class, and the two of you hadn't been seen without the other since.

"Reggie!" You exclaim in a whine as he ignores you, continuing to pull you along through the deserted walls of hogwarts until you were both outside.

That's when you saw it, all the coloured fireworks in the sky. Down on the floor was a picnic blanket and make-shift lantern so that they could see. A smile brought on your lips but when you turned to Regulus, he was fiddling with his slytherin tie and pulling at the collar of his white shirt in an attempt to loosen it around his neck.

"We're going for a swim in the black lake after the magic fireworks stop." Regulus spoke, as if he could sense your question on what he was doing. After successfully removing his tie, he looked up at you with his massive grin and took your hand in his.

"Happy fourth of July, Love." He murmured as he pulled your body against his, but there was a cheeky tone to his words.

"Would you prefer if I put on the American National anthem and we dance to it under the stars?" He teased before placing his hands on your hips, swaying your body dramatically as if to pretend the two of you were dancing.

"I'm sure Evan could find a spell that projects music. He must owe me a favour or two." His grin lifted, before turning you around in his arms, your back against his chest so that you could watch the fireworks in the night sky.
