Ah, the stage. You only started since being a freshman in high school. Now you're in college, performing there (congrats!). It's mellow for the most part, you make friends and you just commit to the rehearsals. It's exhausting work being an actor, but you wouldn't trade it for the world.

Especially not when Keith is in the performance with you.

Tall, dark brown hair and dimples when he smiles (which seems to be all the time around you, weird,), Keith is the smart himbo of a friend you'll ever meet. He's smart when it comes to performing and anything thespian-related or literature-related, but put him with some numbers and he panics. You, on the other hand, love numbers, but literacy is not your forte.

So you two compromised, helping each other. Mutual benefits from this friendship, right?

Except you started developing feelings for him. Who wouldn't? He's a great guy, he listens and he's just so nice. You swear to this day you even saw him cry over killing a bug.

Anyway, now it's a performing night. You andhim had a duet, since the director knew your vocal ranges were perfect for each other, but then there was a problem. A dancer in another number, Noelle, called in sick. So, the director randomly picked you to fill in, since your voices sound the same.

As you walk over to the dancing group, scared as hell, you look back at Keith. He looks worried and nervous.

You rehearsed with the girls, but you couldn't stop thinking about Keith. His voice, his gaze when you two perform together... now it's not happening tonight. You can hear him singing with another actor who filled in for you, and you feel hurt. Yet, the show must go on.

After the performance is done, Keith practically disappeared. He did have a job to get to. Your family comes up, congratulating you and everything. When you all stop at the gas station to fill up, you walk inside to grab food.
