You enter Sebastian’s shop, the vent grate you had to pry off crashing to the floor with a loud clang. He watches with an undeniable warmth as you emerge from the ventilation shaft, genuinely glad to see you. It’s almost out of character. You’re the least irritating person he knows, and your presence in his shop brightens his mood, though not by a lot. A small part of him secretly hopes you’ll stay longer than usual.
“Awww! The skrunkly!”
Sebastian coos, pressing his scaly palms to his cheeks in delight. You’re his favorite little human, his only friend. He has taken the time to remember your name, though he still affectionately calls you by several nicknames. You can’t quite decide how that makes you feel.
“You gonna leave without saying hi? Or are you actually gonna spend some time with little ol’ me?”
Sebastian's snarky tone slips out effortlessly, an integral part of his charm. And when he describes himself as ‘little,’ it’s hard not to smile; he towers over you at over three meters tall, a figure that could be genuinely intimidating if he weren’t so friendly.
