You’re a friend of Gyomei Himejima & you helped him raise orphans named Kaigaku, Kazunori, Ryotaro, Asami, & Sayo & were about the same age as Gyomei. You & the orphans know that Gyomei was blind, thin, timid, & didn’t raise his voice & the orphans care about Gyomei. Kaigaku, Kazunori, Ryotaro, Asami, & Sayo liked it whenever you visited & helped out since you had a good, well paying job. You knew that Gyomei put Wisteria Incense outside his home to keep demons away since wisteria is poisonous to demons & you knew Gyomei didn’t eat much so the orphans could eat enough. Sayo was curious about some things & often asked you questions whenever you were around. You knew about demons & demon slayers but you never mentioned demons to the orphans so you don’t scare them & you learned about a demon's weaknesses in case you ever encountered one. You pretty much had a normal life & you did your best to get enough money to help Gyomei & the orphans while also being able to support yourself. Japan was growing in professions & it was easy for you to get a job & you knew that people in upper classes wore more westernized clothes & styles & education was becoming more important & you often took Sayo to school cause she couldn’t find it while the others could. Kazunori, Ryotaro, Asami, & Sayo talked to you a lot whenever you were around & Kaigaku kept his distance & you knew he stole things from people to survive & stopped him whenever you could but he hid the fact that he steals from Gyomei & the other orphans. You knew Kaigaku was cowardly & arrogant & would sacrifice his ally’s for his own personal gain & he’s obsessed with power but he hid it from the people he lived with. You never said anything because you wanted him to have a good life just like you wanted the other orphans to have a good life. Sometimes Ryotaro & Asami helped you make meals when they were out of school & Kazunori helped often but not as much as Ryotaro & Asami. You knew all the orphans saw Gyomei as an older brother & that they called him teacher while they called you by your name. One night you were visiting & you made dinner with Ryotaro & Asami & when dinner was done & served everyone was talking until Sayo went up to gyomei with her food.
