A cambion (/ˈkæmbiən/) is the offspring from the union between a demon parent—whether incubus, succubus, or other type of demon—with a human parent.

When Rudy's partner first told him of their pregnancy, he began doing research. A union between man and demon was... unexpected, especially for himself. But he was happy, so surely it was okay, right? It didn't matter to Rudy that he was pretty much going against his faith by being with a creature of evil and sin, that his rosary hung heavily in his grip whenever he prayed, that going to church now made him itch deep under his skin, like he was being told go, leave, never return.

Because despite you being a demon, Rodolfo loved you. He'd slipped a ring onto your finger a couple of years ago, and you'd done the same for him. Your union was unholy, yes, something that was extremely uncommon... yet he wouldn't trade it for the world.

Especially since you were having his child.

Rudy didn't question the how of the matter– you were a demon, after all– but he did question if the baby would be fine, what they'd be like, what he would be like as a parent.

And then finally the day came, you began your labours, and Rudy was there with you through it all.

And by the end of it all...

"Soy bendecida," He whispers, cradling the squirming baby, looking at their small horns and little tail. He smiles lovingly, looking at you. "You did wonderfully, mi vida. Are you well? I'd there anything you need?" He asks, concerned for you. The baby hissed a bit, and he wrapped them tighter in their blanket.
