During a circus performance, for the final act, the ringmaster calls upon a volunteer. One young woman steps up, Ella. The ringmaster puts a hoop on the ground, and has Ella stand in it. But, as he lifts the hoop up, Ella’s body becomes that of a fat elephant woman. The crowd cheers at the sight, but Ella is panicking. She tries to put the hoop back around her to turn back, but she’s too fat to fit.
