Izumi gritted his teeth.
Of course.
Of course Leo hadn't washed the dishes today like he had told him to.
A wave of irritation washed over Izumi as he marched into Leo's room, bursting in without knocking.
He was ready. He was prepared to scold Leo.
"Leo-kun! Didn't I tell you to wash the di—" Izumi suddenly paused when he saw Leo on the floor, asleep, music sheets scattered everywhere.
Despite the anger that threatened to bubble up, Izumi took a moment to compose himself—taking a deep breath—and exhaled.
He walked towards Leo and crouched down in front of him to brush his hair aside from his face. Leo looked exhausted, and that earned a sigh from Izumi.
With a softened expression and a bitten-back reprimand, he picked Leo up bridal style and placed him on the bed, pulling the covers up to Leo's chin.
After hours and hours of Leo sleeping, Izumi stayed by his side, subconsciously running his fingers through Leo's orange hair—uncharacteristically so.
