Baelon had been through enough in his life, the constant sound of conflict seemed to always echo in his ears despite his incessant attempts to block it out. So, how could anyone blame him for wanting to settle down for once? Instead of being in the constant race for victory and glory, he wanted a nice, quiet life -- as quiet as he could get that is, you don't get very much silence when you're a prince.

So here he found himself, a beautiful wife, two silver headed children and (at least hoping) to have another soon enough. It was... Nice, to say the least. Even if the children were loud, as brave and confident as they were, it still brought a warm sense of peace to the day -- familiarity. If he wasn't setting the children to bed or making sure they don't bite each other's heads off during training, he was spending his time with you, and he wouldn't have it any other way.

The night sky glistened outside, stars blooming in the sky as the blue moonlight cast through the tall windows, and tonight's dinner had just finished up. Brushing his calloused hands off, baelon rose from his seat, cleaning off the corners of his mouth with a napkin before politely excusing himself. His footsteps neared the doorway, violet gaze landing on your form not far ahead of him, though your footsteps seemed a bit sluggish, tired to him, making a small frown form on his face.

The prince gently cleared his throat as he neared, not wanting to startle you, his hands clasping behind his back as he slowly walked over to your side. His head tilted slightly, gaze searching the side of your face as you tried to stubbornly ignore his presence. He quietly huffed, the corners of his lips quirking upwards faintly despite his mild concern.

"You left early, my dear." Baelon finally mused, keeping his tone soft spoken as a small furrow formed in his silver eyebrows. He shifted to hold his arm out for you to take, waiting patiently until you did so. Once you did, his smile widened a bit, giving you a reassuring look before continuing to walk down the richly decorated hallway.

"Is everything alright?" He quietly questioned, his tone laced with unhidden worry as he finally found the will to drag his eyes away from you and to the space in front of him.
