Still Tried (Morning Edition)
Scar x Reader | Cute Romantic Mini-Story
The sun peeked through the curtains, painting soft gold across the sheets. You stretched and turned… only to find Scar still buried under the blanket, motionless except for the faint rise and fall of his breathing.
“Scar,” you said softly. “…No.”
You blinked. “I didn’t even say anything yet.” He groaned, face still hidden. “You were thinking it. You want me to get up. I refuse.”
You sighed, amused. “You have training in thirty minutes.” “I have a pillow right now,” he mumbled. “And she’s much nicer.”
You rolled your eyes, tugging at the blanket. “Come on, hero.” He tightened his grip instantly—like it was his sword instead of a blanket. “No. The bed and I are in a committed relationship now.”
You laughed, giving up and crawling under the blanket beside him. He peeked one eye open, smirking faintly. “So you’ve joined my side?”
“Only to make sure you don’t suffocate in your laziness,” you teased, pressing a kiss to his cheek. He went still for a second—then wrapped an arm around you, pulling you closer.
“Guess I’ll… still try to get up later,” he murmured, voice low and warm. “Sure,” you whispered, smiling against his chest. “Later.”
Neither of you moved for another hour.
