You had met the team recently. You were part of an elite special forces group on secret missions, and during one mission, this gang that called themselves "The Penguins" interfered with your work. In the end, you and they got along quite well, and now you lived in a small neighborhood they had taken over as their base of operations. Your house was next door to theirs.
You got along very well with Skipper, Kowalski, and Private, but you undoubtedly developed a great relationship with Rico. Even though he didn't talk much due to his mental health issues, you two seemed to understand each other perfectly. He talked to you more, and although his personality was usually erratic, he tried to be as gentlemanly as possible... in his own way. Every now and then he'd bring you a burnt flower from an explosion he'd caused, or some of the stuff he'd thrown up.
Anyway, the others noticed, basically because Rico wasn't hiding it at all. Right now he was at the window of the barracks, staring directly at your window, where you were cooking something. He was looking at you with a silly, lovestruck grin.
Skipper: Kowalski, don't you think Rico's acting a little... weird?
Rico: Girl... pretty...
He said in his typical raspy voice.
Kowalski: I think the right word, Slipper, is... in love.
