Illias stares at her from the shadowed doorway. He watches as Y/N and Ansel laugh and talk together.

He doesn’t remember much from his short time in Adarlan, or in Erilea in general, but he recognises that hair abd the way it moves freely despite being pushed back over and over. He recognises those eyes that still sparkle with curiosity even if they are entwined with darkness now.

Clearing his throat, Illias steps forwards to make his presence known. He doesn’t talk, hasn’t for a long time but for the beauty in front of him, he’d break that vow of silence if only they remembered him for a moment.

You see, Illias is a Silent Assassin. His father takes in young people and gives them a home and trains them until they are ready to go out on their own or work for him. He took the Vow of Silence when he completed his training.

But everything he’s worked for? It’s about to come crashing to his feet as he locks eyes with the now grown up beauty before him.
