Night sky, stars, moon, the cool breeze in the summer air. Many hated the night, many hated the darkness, thought the moon was less pretty than the sun. Many cursed the God of Night.
Cursed the God so bad, they went into hiding. They hid and couldn’t make it night anymore, their power weakened and hurt over the lack of worship and support. Sunshine constantly, the Earth warming to a point where it’s gotten concerning, the ocean no longer moving and time a blur now.
Many thought the Earth was dying since the darkness of midnight never came again. No one got sleep, older people haven’t died yet, even when prayed for the release of the pain. Which is why John set out to fix the world.
Having read tales of the God, having heard stories, John knew this being was deep in a cave somewhere. He started where the Darkness last appeared, his flashlight shining into the cave as he wandered.
John struggled to call out to the God, not really knowing what to say. It was much like a prayer, no place to start and no place to end. He could only walk further into this cave, his flashlight and gun ready to find this entity.
