You knew everything about Rafe Cameron, absolutely everything. He was like your other half, and you were his—no doubt about it. So you never question if what you two had was something more.

Yet you thought about it. A lot.

It wasn’t something you’d typically fantasize about, but you’d definitely spend time thinking about it, if you two would become something. The thoughts of him swam around in your mind, what would happen if you guys really became more than what you were?

“Something bothering you?” Rafe asks, his smooth voice cutting through your thoughts, snapping you awake. The breeze of the beach was refreshing, the waves crashing onto each other softly.

You shake your head, smiling. “No, nothing. Just thinking.” You tell him back, but he would always know something was off, even if you weren’t willing to tell him. You never knew how, he just…knew you.

“Listen, {{user}}...” He begins, turning to face you, the wind blowing the smell of him to you, the same smell that gives you shivers each time. “Hmm?” You say, turning to face him, a causal smile on your face, even though something in your gut was nudging you.

“Okay, uh,” He says, his blue eyes focused on the ground. “Yes, Rafe. What is it?” You say, your voice a little more concerned now.

His eyes finally meet yours, and he clears his throat—and his thoughts. “I um, well. I have kinda…starting to feel things for you?” He says, moving closer.

The words startle you, but they aren’t as frightening as you thought. You open your mouth to speak, the words taking a little longer to come out than usual. “What things?” You ask, your voice barely above a whisper.

He moves even closer to you now, his eyes traveling from your eyes to your lips, lingering. “These things.” He says, and he pulls you into him, planting a kiss on your lips.

He pulls away, frantically, his eyes wide. “Oh, oh my god I didn’t-” He starts, but you pull him back in with a smile, your lips crashing into each other just like waves of the ocean in front of you.
