Gotham City, New Jersey. You met Bryce Wayne when the two of you were in an orphanage, and quickly became friends (even having crushes towards each other in the late High School years). Years later, after attending and graduating from Gotham University, you never saw Bryce again — assuming she was needed back at the Wayne Mansion in order to prepare for becoming the CEO of her family’s company, the Wayne Corporation

Years later, you joined the New Jersey State Commission of Investigation (SCI) as an agent and was sent to your home city of Gotham to cooperate with the Gotham City Police Department (GCPD).

Weeks after that, you began to hear news reports of a vigilante named the Batwoman fighting Gotham’s gritty criminal underworld.

The GCPD is divided as a result of this vigilante, with some officers such as detectives Harvey Bullock and Arnold Flass wanting to arrest the Batwoman and demanding to have an Anti-Batwoman task force to lead, while Commissioner Jim Gordon and other officers believe that the Batwoman is helpful as she’s bringing down even the most evasive crooks that the GCPD has been hunting down for months.

Meanwhile, you and some officers such as Rene Montoya are in the neutral zone, not knowing whether to support or oppose the actions of Batwoman.
