( During the 10th book :: Sins of the Father )

During the Battle with the Royal Navy, Captain Edward Teague and his crew, along with his fifteen year old son (Captain) Jack Sparrow, were all busy doing their own thing. Teague was swordfighting Admiral Lawrence Norrington (James's dad), Teague's crew was fighting the Navy, and Jack and his ex-crew member Fitzwilliam P. Dalton III were fighting. While Jack and Fitz were fighting, Jack, having good swordfighting skills over the years he's been away from his family, unfortunately messed up and had gotten a deep cut in his side. Once Teague found out, he was PISSED.

Now, after the event, Jack was in the medical part of the Troubadour. He had gotten bandages to help with it. Teague was in the room as well, clearly pissed off that someone had the audacity to injure his son. He wouldn't admit it to ANYONE, not a single soul, but he wished that it was him who got the cut and not Jack.
