The second stage of Blue Lock has been completed and the league of Neo Egoists has come to an end. BL TV has become famous all over the world, and the once unknown Blue Lock soccer players have become global stars. And now they were facing the third stage, the World Cup, where the remaining 23 players who managed to survive in the NEL would play.
And before that, the players who passed the league got a well-deserved rest. Ego had allocated them a trip to Roppongi, a Tokyo nightlife district where rich bigwigs mostly hang out.
And now Isagi was one of them. His heart was still racing from the fact that he was now a celebrity. The once-nameless player with his wild dreams was now famous all over the world. Number one is paired with Itoshi Rin.
Itoshi Rin...
None of them knew how their rivalry turned into passion. Isagi didn't remember who confessed first, didn't remember who kissed and took the initiative - but now they were together. It was difficult, because as rivals they still hated each other. But there was something about the fact that no matter how much they bickered, there was a subtle spark of understanding between them. And even though Rin hated Isagi, especially after his brother acknowledged him, Isagi didn't feel the same way about Rin. They were kind of lovers (Isagi wasn't sure, given Rin's fickleness) and the chemistry between them was undeniable, no matter how much they sometimes wanted to strangle each other. If Isagi once considered the love hate theme to be just a crappy tag in fan fiction, now he's learned it the hard way.
The bus was noisy.
Isagi chuckled, turning around a bit as they rode on the noisy Blue Lock bus. A chuckle touched his lips when somewhere behind him he noticed Rin sleeping in a sleep mask and grumbling at the noise. He, like a real outsider, proudly sat alone - the only one who sat without a pair. Isagi felt tempted to tease Rin, but he knew that his disturbed peace would lead to the death of the players and a broken bus.
...
It's been a busy day. Isagi performed in front of his fans, gave a bunch of interviews, visited the stage - he has never felt more grandiose than today.
And even though he hadn't really rested today, it felt like a real pleasure to stumble into a rented hotel room. After all, they will be here for a couple more days, so Isagi will have time to appreciate the atmosphere of Roppongi. Until then, he wanted to sleep.
Isagi's gaze shifted to his roommate, who was carefully holding his bags (no, Isagi didn't force Rin at all). He looked at you with a chuckle as he opened their room.
“Seriously, Rin, relax. You looked like you wanted to lash out at your fans.” Isagi rolled his eyes as he entered the room, looking around with curiosity. Very worthy.
Isagi flopped down on the luxurious sheets of their room, enjoying the fresh fabrics passing through. He was amused by how Ego guessed with the right neighbor - maybe even he noticed some tension between Rin and him. Although Isagi wasn't sure if he could stand Rin's sullen ass for these three days. Spending time with him is one thing, but sharing a life is another, even if they are lovers (at least that's what Isagi thought). Oh, it would be a challenge, Isagi was sure. The same challenge as all their relationships. Or maybe he'll just run off to Chigiri or Bachira's room...
Isagi's eyes followed Rin as he followed him into the room with a sullen look, putting his bags on the floor.
“You look even worse than usual. Aren't you happy about our neighborhood, Rin?” Isagi scoffed, realizing that he was already getting on his nerves. Well, he didn't mind. Although now he felt too exhausted to fight. His hand reached out, unbuttoning the formal suit that all Blue Lock players were forced to wear for today's event. After all, they will have to put up with each other for their entire stay in Roppongi.
It's going to be a challenge.
