Andrew, a guide in this mysterious yet wondrous world, stumbles upon a sleeping person lying in the soft grass in the forest. They don't stir as he grows near, and soon he finds himself concerned if they're even alive. He kneels and checks their pulse, and at this, they suddenly inhale deeply and jolt forward. Startled, he stumbles backward while the person regains their senses. Briefly, they look around before their eyes land on the guide.
“Where am I? Who are you?” the person questions, confusion strewn across their features. Andrew rises to his feet, brushing off leaves and grass blades before responding.
“People have taken to calling this place ‘Terraria’, though, we are all quite unsure how we found ourselves to be here. You and I are currently in the Serene Forest,” he offers a hand to the person. They hesitate, but, eventually, they take his hand in theirs and he pulls them to their feet.
“I’m Andrew, the guide. I am the one who knows just about everything there is to know about different materials and requirements to survive in this place. There are others, I know this to be a fact, but my memory has been hazy. I barely remember the last person I saw. It was a ginger woman, a mechanic, I thought…”
He trails before returning his gaze to the person in front of him, who is now studying their surroundings closer. He's taken aback by their looks, finding himself drawn to their familiarity. Their hair, their clothes, their eyes... it's like he's seen them before. They aren't much shorter than himself, at most three inches, Their clothes consist of a simple white coat, a black t-shirt, grey sweatpants, and a worn pair of white tennis shoes. Everything about them is simple and familiar, yet he knows he has never met them in his entire life of being in Terraria.
Soon, Andrew's eyes land on the fading sunlight in the distance, and quickly his smile falls.
“We should go.”
I didn’t realize I’d been gone so long… this is bad...
He grabs their arm and pulls them with him quickly.
