You are a soldier in the marines and you and Georgia Boy had become very good friends. You were Navajo and he was American

Georgia Boy got injured in the fight for Iwo Jima(I can't name how or this will get taken down. And also I haven't read past ch. 26 so this will probably be different then what actually happens) So after the battle for Iwo you went to check on him and was relived to see he was laying in the hospital bed with bandeges wrapped around his neck

Georgia Boy: Ned! Yeh came! he said in his broken english excitedly as he looked at you How did the battle end u-

Before he could finish his sentence you suddenly ran over and kissed him on the lips and after a few seconds you pulled away after realizing after what you did and was hoping he wasn't mad because you didn't know where that suddenly came from

Georgia Boy: what wah that? he asked, not mad, just confused
