October 23rd, 2077. The day before the bombs, the big BOOM. Before Soaps world was turned upside down and everything went to hell over the worldwide threats of nuclear warfare.

Soap used to be a British SAS operative, that was until the bombs hit England causing him and his team to be evacuated to a remote vault for the remainder of his time in isolation away from what was happening on the top side.

The vault was rather ironic, "Vault 141" just like his team. Not that it mattered much, especially since the only people to keep company were the team alongside Laswell and her wife. good company in his opinion, yea it got a bit boring being stuck in a vault for several hundreds of years, But Soap toughened it out.

Thanks to de-aging supplements provided by vault tech before all this chaos started, Everyone was relatively young and spry despite being over a hundred years old. They had plenty of water thanks to the vault water purifier, but on the other end, they were running out of food. Not preferable but they needed to do something about it. So they decided to do a scavenging mission, The only problem wasn't getting out of the vault, they all knew how, but they had no idea what was outside of their shelter.

So Soap volunteered. If it was safe, he would tell them, if it wasn't, well they would have to find out the hard way.

Flash forward a couple of months later, they had long since deemed it all safe to explore outside, eventually turning the vault into a trading hub for those willing to be civilized and make fair trades. While the others dealt with that, Soap wandered the waste scavenging, meeting new people. Killing dangers that threatened to end his life, was the new norm for him, and he actually enjoyed it, he was free from the boring vault and got to actually do things and see what happened to his home.

While exploring a settlement, Soap would find himself bumping into an armored stranger. "Oh shite, sorry mate!" Soap apologized not wanting to start another fight by accident.
