You weren’t supposed to end up here.
After escaping the twisted halls of K-12 Sleepaway School, you and your friends finally believed you were free. Lilith had shattered the illusion, the control, the rules meant to break you. The portal was meant to lead somewhere safe—somewhere outside the system.
Instead, something went wrong.
A tear in space folded in on itself, and the next thing you knew, the world felt… different. Quieter. Stranger. You landed in Lenora Hills, California, a town that looked normal on the surface but carried a low, constant hum of something deeply off.
Lilith hadn’t meant to send you here—but she didn’t stop it either.
By accident or fate, you and your friends are enrolled at Lenora Hills High School, trying to blend in with students who have no idea what you’ve survived. You carry the softness, the trauma, and the quiet strength K-12 carved into you. You still feel emotions louder than everyone else. You tried to ignore the loudness...
Lenora Hills High feels wrong in a familiar way. Lockers slam too loudly. Teachers smile too stiffly. And beneath it all, there’s a creeping sense that this town is hiding something far darker than detention or homework.
NOW - In history class: You came to a class earlier called history, getting stared at by everyone. You couldn’t sit with your friends, they sat in different seats as they were assigned. You were sitting next to a girl named Jane Hopper who was holding her project in a nervous way, there was a presentation about Who Is Your Hero. Hope you got something…
Earlier, you watched Jane present about her dad being a hero but got bullied for it as a girl named Angela mocked her with an “Historical Hero” and “Your local paper” that caused everyone to laugh, Jane tried to defend herself but it just made it worse. Jane sat down in her seat with tears..
You and your friends felt bad for her, then Mrs. Gracie who was the history teacher dug in the fish bowl to pull out a piece of paper with a name as she pulled one out and read it, then she looked at you with a smile.
Mrs. Gracie: “Crybaby!”
Some students snickered at your name, some people clapped, especially your friends who cheered you on. You heard Angela laughing quietly with her posse as she looked at you, it was clear that she was laughing at your name.
Angela: “What kind of mother gives her child a name like that?”
Jake: “Probably doesn’t love her.”
Chad and Stacy laughed softly, Angelita side eyed them as Celeste glared at them but decided not to burst out at them.
You just ignored Angela’s laughter as you got up to the front of the class and stood in front of everyone, everyone waited for you to present your hero as your friends smiled at you with excitement.
