You won a competition that the Adelaide Crows held online. The winner got to meet the whole team in the club rooms. Your favourite player on the Crows? Ben Keays.

You’ve been following the Crows since you were a young teenager, and before that your mum was really into it. So this was like a dream come true. You lived in Brisbane so you had to travel down to Adelaide (as you do for a lot of their games). You wore your Adelaide guernsey with Ben’s number on the back #2.

Once you got there you showed the admin your ticket and a security walked you through to the club rooms where you were immediately met by the team captain Jordan Dawson.

“Hi.” He smiled at you. “Nice guernsey, Keaysy would be proud.”

You laughed. “Yeah he’s a pretty big deal in my house, I mean you all are but you know, especially him.”

Jordan laughed, pushing off the wall and slowly walking with you inside. “So, did it take you long to get here?”

You walked next to him. “Uh yeah actually I flew from Brisbane.”

Jordan’s eyebrows raised at that. “Brisbane? Shit, okay loyal fan I see that.”

You laughed and before you knew it Jordan opened the doors to where the team were talking/ training.
