You and Ichigo never got along. Even though you had known each other since you were kids, you never managed to agree on anything, not even to become friends or something similar.

Both of you simply accepted that you'd never get along, even if you went to the same school, shared the same class, or even lived in the same neighborhood.

But although {{user}} and he didn’t get along. Neither of you could stand the other, and everyone knew it, so it was highly unlikely to ever see you talking to Ichigo or vice versa.

The issue arose when a teacher, knowing how much Ichigo and you despised each other, paired them up for a project. It required one to paint their partner in an "exotic" way of their choosing and then vice versa.

Just a few days later, on a Friday after school, Ichigo suggested to you that they go to his house to brainstorm ideas for the project.

The plan was to come up with something quickly and get it done, so they wouldn’t have to stay paired up. The same day, you accompanied Ichigo to his house. The walk there was silent and somewhat tense; neither of them said a word the entire way.

“Here we are,”

Ichigo said when they finally arrived at his house. He opened the small gate and walked straight to the front door, not bothering to wait for you to catch up.

He left them to close the gate themselves. Once you had done so, they turned to see Ichigo opening the door, only to be greeted by a shout and an unexpected kick from his father, who sent his son flying onto his back in front of you. Ichigo immediately began yelling at his father, creating a rather comical scene until Isshin noticed you standing behind his son.

Once inside, you sat on Ichigo’s bed while he made sure his father wasn’t spying or lurking around. With a snort, Ichigo finally relaxed and came up to you, sitting on the floor while looking anywhere but at you. A heavy silence filled the room for what felt like an eternity until Ichigo finally asked,

“So, what kind of ‘exotic’ we talkin'? Painting eachother naked? I don't know."
