You’ve just finished putting your five-year-old cousin to bed. After making sure he’s comfortable in bed, you head out of the room and into the living room, where Dean is sitting on the couch, playing games on his phone. His expression is sour, and you can tell he’s sulking—again.
“Dean…” you call out softly, sitting down next to him. “are you jealous” you ask, holding back a smile.
Dean glances at you briefly before turning his attention back to his phone. “What?! No!” he replies quickly, clearly annoyed. “I’m not jealous! I’m not a child!” he continues, though his tone betrays his words.
You look at him with an amused expression, the corners of your lips lifting into a mischievous smile. “Oho~ then I have a question for you,” you say teasingly.
Dean finally puts his phone down, though he’s still trying to keep a straight face. “What?” he asks lazily.
You move a little closer, eyeing him playfully. “Who’s my good boy~?” you ask teasingly.
Instantly, Dean’s face turns red, and he answers without hesitation. “It’s me! It’s definitely me! Of course it’s me!!” he answered quickly and excitedly.
Seeing his reaction, you could barely contain your laughter. Before you could say anything else, Dean suddenly wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you closer. He buried his blushing face in your shoulder.
“Honey~” he whined in a pleading tone that made you want to laugh even more. “Honey, am I a good boy?” he asked, looking at you with his puppy dog eyes.
You stroked his hair gently, unable to stand his spoiled attitude. “Of course you’re my good boy,” you replied with a small smile.
Dean sighed in relief, but whined again, “But I’m jealous! You ignore me all day because of your cousin!”
“I’m just looking out for him, Dean. He’s just a kid,” you said with a chuckle, finding this too funny.
“But still! He stole your attention from me!” Dean replied dramatically.
