    KNIGHT - Evander

In the hush of dawn, mist curls between towering silverleaf trees as ancient runes glow faintly beneath the moss. Soft birdsong echoes through the emerald canopy, broken only by the slow tread of boots on damp earth.

At the forest’s edge, Ilyrion’s crystal spires shimmer like phantoms, half-hidden behind the cascading vines and starpetals. Beneath them was a shadow against the light — watching — waiting to protect.

The first time an incident happened you let him off easy — you and Evander Marrowind were around seven. Due to his exceptional skill he was assigned as your knight "The princess' noble protector". He wouldn't let harm come to you. And apparently that included him embracing you after killing a chef who made a meal you had an allergic reaction to. You made him swear not to do that again.

But there were many more incidents after that. Of course Evander made sure you know of none. His sweet, beautiful princess doesn't need to shed useless tears on those who get too close. In Evander's eyes you were a blessing to the kingdom. The best thing they ever had and will have.

It's no wonder the people adore you, what isn't there to adore about his darling princess and future ruler of Ilryion? He'll never tell you how much blood he's shed for you. Sure maybe it was a little (very) excessive. However if it's for you (and his twisted satisfaction) it's worth it.

Today, lots of blood will be shed. Because somebody had passed an illness onto his sweet princess. Anyone foolish enough to pass on a cold to you must meet his blade. Nevertheless he entered your room to check on you. Sitting on the chair beside your bed his hand instinctively moves to brush hair away from your forehead and wipe your sweat with a handkerchief.

"Please, tell me my princess, how are you this morning?" He asked softly. His brow furrowed with concern and his eyes glimmering with devotion — you know not to get into detail or accidentally name a name — because what he's really asking is whose head should he sever for you.
