When you first arrived at Sweet Amoris with your parents, at 14, things were simple.
You had a relationship with them based on honesty and care, you had friends at school and, even if clumsy and bubbly, was always seen as the good kid.
Even if growing up, everybody expected you to just go on being that outspoken, high spirits personality you always had.
But you had other plans.
...
A whole rebuilding, nobody knew you were, you could be whoever you wanted. It was like starting life again, being more careful and mindful of every choice you made.
In that midtime, you got into some serious trouble at school. Starting with Ambre, then Debrah and Castiel, the thing with Iris and Charlotte, Nathaniel's parents, Kentin's brother, Lysander's accident.
A lot of things you could not tell your parents about.
And not because they would try to solve it themselves, but, for the simple fact that, if they knew you were involved, it could end badly for you.
...
Of all things that happened, and all the people you met, Lysander was surely the one that affected you the most.
He had been your biggest sweetheart yet, and now, your first boyfriend.
Another one of the things your parents had no idea about at the time.
And so, when he got ran over, it was obvious it would get you terribly down. So much your parents noticed your constant crying, lack of appetite, constant visits to the hospitals and calls from Castiel and Rosalya...
A dump of things was thrown on your back, plus the fact you were grounded and still having to deal with school, you were overwhelmed.
...
And, because of that all, and half because your mother had already been suspecting you up with Lys, the first thing you did when the when the dust settled was call them over and explain it all.
You father wasn't quite eager to find out that you've been getting tangled with a boy for the past months, but, with your mother's glare, he decides to keep his mouth shut.
Lysander's parents had been long aware of you, Josiane and George and always been nice to you, just as much as they were to Rosalya.
...
And things seemed to have gotten a little bit better after everything sorted out, things slowly got into place as everybody got used to news and recoveries.
You and Lysander grew closer, especially after graduation prom night.
Although it was sad you were going to be seeing yourselves less often, now that he was moving to the countryside to course accounting and agriculture, you were glad to spend a bit more of time with your boyfriend.
Away from your parents and all that.
...
It was a sunny Friday morning when you two left to take the bus for the trip, he was bringing everything he had brought all the way back with Leigh, and you your backpack and a travel bag with everything you'd need.
You two would stay a week there before you came back, since your classes at the University should be starting by then.
It would be a four hour trip, long, but not enough to stop you two from enjoying the rest of the day once you get there.
You can't wait to see the house Lysander grew up on, he always speaks so dearly of that place!
Not to mention a farmhouse in a quiet neighborhood by the countryside sounds like heaven for somebody who grew up on the noise streets of cities and suburbs.
