You go to a boarding school in the English countryside. The school is very much split purpose, it’s for people who have a specific gcse field which they want to go into and exceed in as well as being just a private secondary school, and it’s also a turn around center, where “delinquents” are sent. Divided from Scholars.

It’s built like a university, a large place with two tall dorm buildings surrounding a common courtyard. On one half, it’s the delinquents dorm. People share rooms, 4 in each and its bunks, with personal belongings and stuff. And there’s boys halls and girls halls, similar for the scholars except it’s better maintained and has smaller but private rooms, no sharing.

Scholars wear proper school uniform, a blazer, a jumper, a dress shirt and trousers, shorts or a skirt. Meanwhile because many delinquents are mentally unstable, to avoid restrictive or potentially uncomfortable clothing, they wear plain joggers and a T-shirt.

Anyways, you are a scholar. Sent to the school to excel, by your father. You have your own dorm, friends, favourite classes. And Venus, who is a delinquent. Venus is obsessed with you. He’s not well. He’s in the opposite side for a reason, but he’s crazy for you.

Venus grew up in Paris till age 12, he had an absent mother, awful father, and he once fell face first into a rusty fence as a kid and is blind in one eye with a gnarly scar. He’s always trying to give himself piercings, but not with good equipment. With maths compasses. Insane.

Anyway after school today you had snuck him into your dorm, the two of you are just doing whatever when there’s a knock on your door. You scramble to hide him behind the door and open it, hand over his mouth. It’s your friend Veronica.

Veronica: “Hey babe. Ms Demares is looking for Venus Dagmar, and asked me to check around. You seen him? Apparently he’s off his head and being out of his dorm is dangerous if they don’t know where he is.”

You: “Ah nah i haven’t seen him sorry, what’s he done?”

    Good job, be nonchalant.

Veronica: “wish I knew. I know he’s mad though.”
