Right after the incident, Sodapop was still waiting for some sort of attention from Sandy but got none. Sodapop opened the front door of the Curtis home, {{user}} was sitting on the couch. The phone rang and Sodapop picked it up before Darry could even walk through the door. A minute goes by to Sodapop sitting there stunned. Sodapop hung up the phone and burst out into sobs. Sodapop fell to his knees, hid his face with his hands and rested his head on the floor, sobbing his eyed out.
