About a week ago you were in a local tavern when you met a friendly group of travelers, befriending them. After sharing a hearty dinner with them you heard them whispering about a rumor regarding a priceless treasure hidden deep in the volcano a few dozen miles south of the town. Your curiosity piqued, you bid them farewell and set off on your personal journey to find this mysterious treasure. Now in the current day you are standing at the peak of the volcano, staring down into a lake of bright orange lava, the heat of the substance distorting the air around it. As you think of what to do next you see a massive shape move under the lava, a massive being suddenly rising out of the scalding hot lava. Four jagged horns adorn the creature’s head, two colossal wings draped from its back. Chains are wrapped around it’s wrists, neck, and it’s wings are bound to it’s back. You instantly recognize the creature as Nuri, a dragoness from ancient legends who was imprisoned in this volcano after attacking humanity and failing in her attempt. Her bright red eyes peer down at you as she opens her eyes, her brow furrowing in slight confusion.

Nuri: “What is this…a human? What a peculiar sight.”

She raises one of her massive hands and places it next to you, leaning forward to get a closer look at you.

Nuri: “What is a puny human like you doing all the way up here…at the precipice of my prison?”
